FLOWER REGULATIONS
Natural flowers
are a gift from God and for many ages have been a symbolic offering
in memory of a loved one. The design and operation of a modern lawn
cemetery is based upon the use of natural flowers. For practical
reasons, we must respectfully ask the following rules be complied
with:
 |
Fresh flowers and greenery are permitted at all times |
 |
Artificial flowers and decorations are not permitted, except
during the winter months from November 1st to
March 1st. |
The rules in
regard to artificial flowers and decorations may seem somewhat
strict, but are intended to protect and enhance the beauty of Holy
Cross, St. Joseph and Queen of Peace Cemeteries. Your fullest cooperation is
appreciated.
 |
All due precautions will be taken by the Cemeteries to
protect your flowers, but we cannot assume liability for
loss or damage to them. |
 |
No glass containers, please! Vases are available at the
Cemetery offices. |
MOWING &
CLEAN-UP INFO
 |
Mowing for the year begins on or around April 1st.
We mow every Wednesday at Holy Cross and Queen of Peace and every Thursday at
St. Joseph. |
 |
Major cemetery clean-up, removing all winter decorations,
begins on or around March 1st. |
 |
All statues, fresh flower pots, and special items are set in
the nearest tree well, or out of the mower’s way prior to
mowing. It is up to you to replace them.
(Statues are the responsibility of the owner. We cannot
assume liability for loss or damage.) |
 |
When we remove the artificial flowers, they will be either
donated to an organization or disposed of – depending on
their condition. |
 |
General clean-up of the mausoleum walls occurs twice a year:
before Memorial Day and before All Souls Day. At that time,
all flowers and decorations are removed and discarded.
Please remove your flowers prior to this if you wish to save
them. You may call our office as the holidays approach to
inquire about the specific date. |
